Groundbreaking for St. Anne’s Senior Housing in Damascus, MD

On April 29th, Mission First Housing Group celebrated the Groundbreaking of St. Anne’s Senior Housing in Damascus, MD.

Mission First, in partnership with an affiliate of St. Anne’s Episcopal Church, is developing a 76-unit four story senior housing apartment building located at 25104 Ridge Road in Damascus, Montgomery County, Maryland. The site is adjacent to St. Anne’s Episcopal Church.

Attendees of the Groundbreaking included The Honorable Marc Elrich, Montgomery County Executive; Brien O’Toole, Deputy Director, Maryland Community Development, Administration Department of Housing and Community Development; Aseem Nigam, Director, Montgomery County Director of Housing and Community Affairs; Reverend Jonathan David Musser, St. Anne’s Episcopal Church and Sarah Constant, Senior Vice President of Real Estate Development, Mission First Housing Group, as well as project partners and community members.

St. Anne’s Senior Apartments will be four-story building including a mix of 66 one-bedroom and 10 two-bedroom units targeting seniors earning 30%-70% of Area Median Income.

The proposed building design will complement the adjacent church building, site conditions and general landscape. Community areas available to all residents will include a lobby, community and sitting room, fitness room, library/meeting room, bike storage, and property management office suite.

The development program is intended to include and support aging-in-place.
