Description
The 249 N. Aisquith project consists of a substantial historic renovation of the vacant Eastern Female High School. The property is located at 249 N. Aisquith Street in the Pleasant View Gardens neighborhood in Downtown Baltimore, immediately south of the former Somerset housing community and Oldtown Mall redevelopment areas, northeast of the Perkins Homes redevelopment.
The development program planned for the site which consists of an abandoned historic multifamily property and adjacent parking lot will include rehabilitation of the existing structure and new construction of a four story midrise. In all, 46 affordable one, two, and three bedroom units will be developed that will be financed in part with Low Income Housing Tax Credits (LIHTC) and upon completion of the units will be restricted to households earning up to 30, 50, and 60 percent of area wide median income. All 15 of the 30 percent units will have Project Based Rental Assistance.
