Description
This project involved eleven units at two locations in Northeast Philadelphia, initially acquired by Mission First in 1992 and 2007 respectively. The older building, part of Mission First’s early portfolio, became in need of an update over time. The second building, a donation to the company, was also badly in need of an update. These locations were thus perfect candidates for conversion to accessible/special needs housing. All units provide rent-subsidized housing for individuals with disabilities eligible under HUD Section 811 program. The project development costs (approximately $1.2 million) were funded by a Section 811 Capital Advance through the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development.
