Description

MPB School Apartments preserves 28 affordable apartments in a historically certified building in the Strawberry Mansion neighborhood of North Philadelphia. Mission First Housing Group acquired the building in 2008, and in 2012, secured the financing to rehabilitate the property. Shortly thereafter, Mission First also procured from the Philadelphia Housing Authority 16 project-based Section 8 subsidies for the project. Through these efforts, the help of its funding partners and the valued work of its design and development team, Mission First has helped preserve a beautiful historic Philadelphia building. The apartments are affordable to local families, which contributes to the community-planning and redevelopment efforts of this transitioning Philadelphia neighborhood.
